We are launching a Right to Grow Campaign in Liverpool!
When: Wednesday 19th June 3.30pm – 5.30pm
Where: Everton Community Garden, Prince Edwin Street, Liverpool L5 3LW
Join Community Growers in Liverpool to raise our voices for a Right to Grow.
The main demands of our campaign are to:
- Identify all Council owned land suitable for community growing or wildlife projects.
- Remove economic and bureaucratic barriers for community groups to obtain leases for this land.
- Give community groups right of first refusal should the council choose to sell land being used for community growing.
The day will include an opportunity to hear from national campaigners at Incredible Edible, link up with cities across the North of England who are also launching Right to Grow initiatives, art activities and a free picnic!
You can support the campaign by:
- Signing and sharing our open letter.
- Inviting you local councillor to join the Right to Grow Launch picnic.
- Connect with your local growing space to see if they would support the campaign.
